The vessel's octagonal shape, which mimics the Turkish tea glass, makes it difficult for it to slip out of the hand. Its simplicity is intended to give the product a modern look and feel and thus fit aesthetically into the "architectural temple". A surge limit allows a higher tolerance to tilt or move the vessel without coffee spilling over. To prevent the coffee from scalding, a thermochromatic material is used on the vessel wall. This dye indicates the current temperature of the coffee and how high it is in the jar.
